Farmer George (Kevin Costner) and his son, Mikey, have as much love and respect for each other as they do for their community and for the game of baseball. When a freak accident leaves George paralyzed from the waist down, Mikey asks for help from the townsfolk. The community rallies together and helps George find a brand new way to contribute - working at the Field of Dreams. This idyllic baseball field acts as the lifeblood of their small Illinois farming town and even occasionally attracts major league teams for exhibition games.
