“I signed up before my mind had a chance to tell me it wasn’t possible.” 

Although Leslie said this before signing up to run a 50K ultramarathon, Leslie learned this lesson much earlier on when she was a Captain in the US Army. The Lieutenant Colonel telling her she’s a liability rather than an asset set the foundation for Leslie’s future in teaching others that it is up to us to change our inner recording. While we can’t control the outside, there is one thing we can control: our thoughts.
