About this EpisodeThe pandemic calls for digging up some unused episodes! On this episode of The Vintage Talk Bag, we go back in time a few years to listen to one of the first episodes Josh and his guest Will recorded after a lengthy hiatus. They introduce the five-star rating system and discuss the 1990 neo-noir black comedy (?) film Miami Blues, which stars Fred Ward, Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and features appearances from Charles Napier and Paul Gleason. They discuss Hoke Moseley's (Fred Ward) fake teeth, Alec Baldwin's acting choices, how the trailer tries to sell this movie as a quirky comedy (it's not), and movie theme songs that directly reference the movie. This episode also has some strange robotic humming in the background toward the end of the episode, weird clipping, and an old format. However, Josh and Will have an enthusiastic conversation about the film and take a few digressions to explore movies with similar themes. Don’t forget to Like The Vintage Talk Bag on Facebook, subscribe on iTunes, or leave a review wherever you find us!
