The People of Shu’ayb failed to heed the warnings and continued to call him a liar. They were destroyed with such force that it was as though they never lived in their homeland. 

The next Prophet chronologically, who was mentioned in the Qur’an, was Ya’qub, also known as Isra’il. He was the father of twelve sons, whose descendants became Banu Isra’il who were mentioned in many suras.
