Some of the most upsetting verses in the bible are about Jesus telling us to "abandon our families" or leave people behind. To a newcomer to the Bible, these can be particularly upsetting when not reasoned through critically. Today, we highlight the verses in question, and talk about what Jesus is actually saying so that, when you read something that sounds like it's telling you to leave your friends & family behind, you're prepared to see the wisdom that's actually being shared.
