18. Vehicular Egoicide

Our vehicles are failing us.

They all will be recycled.

All will go to one place,

all are from the dust.

And to stardust they will return.

Our protests have it wrong,

but not in what it is that we believe.

But in winning public vindication

to now become the enemy.

Injustice will not die by abolishing the prisons.

Exchanging now oppressors for new oppressors

became the goal of our divisions.

As long as our oppressors have their human sacrifice,

they’ll force-feed us tribal allegiance

withering our shared Spirit as ignorance’s price.

Though I’m starting to remember

what I had to once have known.

That in our Oneness there is something,

from Earth’s ground was never grown.

Something different. Something eternal.

Something we’ve all felt the pull to enter.

God exists, as ALL that is.

Our Creator is our center.

Though “God’s center is everywhere,

His circumference cannot be measured.”*

ALL is ONE.

But egos keep us blinded

by the distract-fullness of treasures.

Fooled by illusions that we…

that ‘I’ drive the car.

As the left became the right

we crashed headlong with doors-ajar.

It’s hard work transcending the otherness delusion

from within vehicles made of future scrap.

But it’s time to give up on our idols,

all our preferences are traps.

Jesus, the Christ pointed the way

to the seed that had to die.

Why am I - just now hearing

“God stopped counting…

and switched sides”?**
