¡Nosotros! with Elaine Ayala

18. Visiting OLLU professor Christopher Carmona | ¡Nosotros!

Listen Later

Christopher Carmona, visiting professor of Mexican American Studies and English at Our Lady of the Lake University, explores the movement of young Chicano academics who’ve brought to light the state-sanctioned violence by Texas Rangers against Mexican American and Tejano landowners. It happened at the turn of the 20th century. That gave birth to the Refusing to Forget research project and a landmark exhibition, “Life and Death on the Border,” on view through March at the OLLU library.
