Listen Later

This week the tables have turned. It's Kenyon's turn to interview Jerome, and they talk about everything from receiving feedback and how to make music in a failing democracy, to queer representations and Jerome's semi-homemade music. There have only been two Black people to win the Tony Award for Best Play as playwrights (Joseph A Walker; The River Niger, 1974 and August Wilson; Fences, 1987). Two more have won as producers (George C Wolfe; Angels in America: Perestroika, 1994 & Take Me Out, 2003 and Ron Simons; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, 2013).
