The boot season is finally over! We can now have fun under the sun but are your feet, spring & summer ready? You might have neglected them over the winter but don’t worry, now is the best time to prepare them for exciting activities!
You might be thinking that the sole purpose of getting manicures/pedicures is to make your hands/feet look pretty & presentable. Well, you can say it’s one of the main reasons why people are into it but let me share with you through this podcast episode the other significant benefits of getting manicures/pedicures regularly. It’s not only good for the overall health of your nails but it’s also good for your mental health!
According to Harvard Health Publishing, a 2018 survey of nearly 1,300 adults conducted by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) found that as many as 75% of those surveyed had some issue with their feet, ranging from troublesome (such as excess sweating, odor, or nail problems) to the painful (such as bunions or stress fractures). And half of those surveyed said they have foot problems that are severe enough to limit their activity in some way. Regularly visiting a trusted nail salon, exercising, and wearing the proper footwear can help ensure your foot health.
Although your commitment to self-care by getting manicures/pedicures regularly can bring great results, you have to remember that choosing the right salon is an integral part of that success, too.
If you’re haven’t visited our Nail bar in the Kootenays, we offer various nail services from regular manicures and pedicures to gel polish, sculpted gel & acrylic nails, nail arts, and more! You can go to this link to book an appointment.
