Securing my first paying clients was a succession of two steps forward, one step back. It was a series of “almost clients” to get to actual clients.

Some of these “almost clients” did become clients, eventually. And that isn’t the point of this post. The point is that sometimes “almost” is as valuable as actually accomplishing. There are lessons in the “almost”. In work. In running a business. In life.
