James takes great care in setting out tests of true salvation that cut to the heart of casual, lukewarm, so-called Christianity.  Then, halfway through his letter, James presents the Gospel without compromise.  And it is a sobering presentation compared to what is preached from most pulpits today.Consider the following:Therefore submit to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
