Good lord, we hoped. We hoped that the Eagles would be able to get that ship RIGHTED. We thought, maybe, just MAYBE, Patullo would find his playoff legs and give us the Eagles offensive performance of our DREAMS...but as Meek Mill observed, that can soon be NIGHTMARES. Eagles, kaput, at the hands of an undermanned (and much better coached) Niners squad. Brock gets his revenge. Sigh.

But Patullo's gone! So who do we like for OC? We assess the philosophical fit for this org, someone who can mesh with Nick but at the same time, be strong enough to be "not Nick" when the moment calls for it. Let's get a genius, either a proven entity or an up-and-comer who's got a definite style and approach. One that - frankly - needs to challenge Jalen Hurts and how he's adjusting to the game plan. Next year folks.

THEN - we cut over to the Sixers, playing .500 ball as per usual. But there are moments to get excited about. Are they sellers at the deadline? BUYERS? Do they have what it takes to make that playoff push? Each week, Mike starts to let himself believe a little bit more. We're here for him.

Flyers on a stinky stretch of losing....let's see if this week can get that turned around. Developing SOME SORT of power play would be great, guys. Whomever they have on the coaching staff who's accountable for PPs....oh man I hope they don't live near Kevin Patullo and have an egg allergy.
