This month marks year 15 of my coaching business, and I want to celebrate it not by talking about what I've done but what's normal.

Most of us who are coaches really like and want to do this work. We want to be coaching! One thing that really gets in the way of that is seeing so much puffed-up business metric marketing and other BS that makes you feel bad about why you're doing this and what you want. Those things are beautiful, relevant, and exactly right FOR YOU.

Don't let other people's goals and metrics (especially for selling you something) become your goal. Take what you need and want seriously, make it happen, and leave the rest behind.
