Stylistically, Compton rapper AD isn’t a far cry from what we’ve come to expect from the area’s greats; he’s as comfortable in slick G-Funk era production as you’ll find. But it’s in the way he shows equal mastery on the mic over hyphy beats born in the Bay Area, or channels the East Coast golden era steez, that paints a more vivid picture of what he’s capable of. A tireless grinder, AD is building his own legacy with every new release, and so much more lies ahead. Check it.
