Bad decisions he made as a younger man led him to a high-security penitentiary with a lengthy prison sentence to serve. While inside, however, Carl chose to begin preparing himself for success. He read books. He interacted with business professionals. He educated himself on steps that he could take to build a more sustainable life as a contributing citizen.
