This year saw the Lt. Governor of Quebec oust a premier, triggering an election. The first modern election in Canadian history was held as Sir John A. Macdonald returned to power, and Bible Bill Aberhart was born. Along with those events, it was also the year a Vaudeville legend, Eva Tanguay, was born in Quebec.
