In one of the most inspiring “budget to magic on screen” ratios we’ve seen on YNFYF, Gareth Edwards both wrote, shot and created ALL the special effects seen in his directorial debut, Monsters. This is independent filmmaking at its most essential; most of the actors were members of the public, and the film was shot on the fly in South America.
