19. How to Taste Your Words Before You Speak

Listen Later

Have you ever said something, then wished you could go back and not say it (or say something else)? Our words are like feathers; once we’ve thrown them into the wind, it’s basically impossible to go gather them all back. And as leading ladies, everything we say is magnified. This is why it’s so important that your message has clarity and imparts grace, and that your words are tastefully spoken. Remember that it’s okay not to say everything!

Your words reflect your character, so if you’re thinking positive thoughts, you’ll be able to speak grace, love, and truth to other people. At many organizations, including the learning center that I led, there’s a no-gossip policy. So, what do you do if someone comes to you complaining or gossiping about someone else? Tune into this episode to find out!

I’ll also explain how important it is to remember that as a leading lady, you’re not a trash can. Instead, you’re a lighthouse! Let your character and integrity shine through and show, and make sure that the words you speak give life to those who hear them. Finally, I’ll address a question that Jared asked, but instead of answering, I’d like to let the amazing conversation over there speak for itself, so go check it out once you’re done listening to this episode!
