Her Life Out Loud

19. I go to Therapy: Grief

Listen Later

Pretty much I love my therapist.
If you have been around here for a minute, you know that therapy has changed my life.

I wanted to take a minute and share about GRIEF. I learned a lot about in a therapy session, and it has stuck with me.. so I figured it could be what someone else needs to hear. On this particular day it was like she gave me permission I thought I need to grieve a relationship that didn’t happen how I wanted it to. It seemed so weird at first, but once I sat with the idea of grieving the relationship I wanted with my dad as a child, I was able to let it go to enjoy the relationship we have now.

Since then I realized with how much life happens and changes, there are so many little moments I have now allowed myself to grieve, and it is so freeing! Even though you don’t need permission for anything, here is your permission to grieve the big, the small, and the in between.

Keep embracing who you are, and let’s create an IMPACT on this world, in our communities, and families.
