Mark Matthews has a lot of love for his home on Vancouver Island, BC. That's where he was born, raised and introduced to his first bike. At the age of 14 he started down the path of bringing a dirt jump park to his community by writing to city council. He had a brief stint living on the North Shore, in an illegal suite, with Jordie Lunn, which they got kicked out of. Mark talks about how he developed a taste for travel and why a broken femur made him realize that competition might not be for him.
