In western culture, intense and intensity is what shows your level of commitment, determination, focus, and probability of success. It’s also what stands in our way of some connection, grace, compassion, flexibility, problem-solving, creativity, rest, and a regular practice of pranayama and meditation.
In this episode, the shit we need to talk about is: reevaluating and redefining our relationship to intensity because our well-being depends on it.
We also discuss Yoga Philosophy’s Niyamas (ethical behaviors towards ourselves) to support us in this:
- Tapas (fiery discipline)
- Svadhyaya (self-study/self-reflection)
So… what if you reevaluated and redefined your relationship with intense and intensity? This is really important because we are in the 4th month of 12 in the year - we need to be sustainable and sustained for the rest of the year!
