In this episode, Sergio Isauro talks to Sara Lopez, a social entrepreneur, creator, artist, writer and culture worker that was raised on the Texas-Mexico border. After dedicating her studies to the humanities to several languages, sociology and anthropology and following a path in advertising, Sara build a career in photography that took her to live in the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. She is the co-founder of The Jungle Journal, a coffee table book and travel journal containing photo journalistic content, with interviews, photo essays, and scholarly articles. The Jungle Journal covers topics and stories concerning the environment, regional ecosystems, past and modern histories, as well as reflections. With the main goal of educating on the importance of land and cultural preservation, social justice, indigenous activism, decolonization, identity, spirituality, ecology, and sustainable tourism. Each journal immerses readers into the regions, geographies, ecosystems, and stories of the inhabitants of the land. Expanding the reader´s perception of the world that surrounds them.
