19 Things I've Realized In Building A Business

Summary;

Here’s a few things I’m learning as I build a business. In no particular order;

- Those who “want” to buy will waste your time and energy

- Those who need what you have are struggling to let go of what they have to let someone else make their life better

- You cannot get tired of saying the same thing, over and over, with a million examples, with social proof and in many ways. It’s a necessary part of the business

- It will take a long time before profits become consistent, thats normal. But you cannot lower your effort or energy or input

- You are 100% responsible for every thing regarding that business. Nothing will ever or be anyone’s responsibility. EVEN IF YOU PAID THEM. That’s a lot to unpack but its the gist

- Most of the people around you not building a business you have to talk less to about what you are doing. It will feel like isolation but if you find communities of others building a business it will get better

- You need to make networking part of your weekly activities per the last point above

- Don’t be fancy with your business. Be creative. Big difference.

- Resourcefullness will become your make or break.

- If you are not willing to think, you will not have a business long term

- This is HARD. Toughen up.

- Your real customer may be so far away. Location and in habits and behaviors. It’s your job to make you and your business findable to them.

- Don’t get stuck celebrating wins. It will keep you from moving forward.

- Don’t get stuck upset about loses. The same will happen from above

- Be patient with your goals but aggressive with your daily activity

- Get away from your regular place you work. Go to another place, an air BNB, a library, a hall, etc. Switching environments is mentally healthy

- Your “I quit” level will be tested and should move back over time

- It’s not that people dont want you to succeed, they only can see your success through their perception of it. It will vary wildly depending on who you talk to

- People with money love seeing you grow and win. People without a lot of money will question your moves and investment. Be mindful of this
