Why can there be so much discord amongst mothers, and then between mom and non-moms?
In today’s episode, I felt inspired to unpack some of the conversation around things we’ll think or say to one another when we ourselves are in places of stress, frustration, resentment or exhaustion. It’s very likely that all of us have been on both the giving and receiving end of projected fears or unhelpful comments. So how can we be more aware of that and get back to a centered place?
I believe all of our experiences are valid. There is beauty and necessity in the uniqueness and variation in which we all choose to have (or not have) children and how we parent them. Moms need each other. And moms and non-moms need each other. Inspired by a recent post on Instagram I saw (and liked) as well as various conversations I’ve had or observed, these are my thoughts on how we balance and honor our different perspectives.
