She is the author of Rhetoric and Resistance: The Literary Arts of Dissent in Nineteenth-Century Britain. Her published work—addressing histories of literature, rhetoric, politics, and science—has appeared in ELH: English Literary History, Nineteenth-Century Contexts, and several edited collections.
