#194 - Lawrence Mooney - The "Moonman" & The Art of Comedy

Listen Later

Lawrence Mooney is an Australian Comedy Legend, actor, and former TV & Radio presenter.

For years he has made us laugh on TV, radio & at his stand-up gigs and we were so excited to sit down with a legend and hear about the art of comedy and how to he made a career out of it.

Lawrence opened up about the real life of a stand-up comic. He talked about the late nights, the alcohol & drug culture & the long tours on the road and away from home. Plus, a hairy moment with a crazy fan and the time he died and had to be resuscitated!

He also shared some of the crazy jobs he worked prior to becoming a comedian and how he was able to break through and make it his full time gig. While also dealing with professional jealousy and how a Malcolm Turnbull impersonation set up a life changing opportunity.

But it wouldn't be a chat with the "Moonman" without excessive laughter the whole way through and that's exactly what we got. He shared some ripping stories that will leave you in stitches, plus a couple of his classic jokes.

Get ready to laugh out loud with the legend himself, Lawrence Mooney.
