For decades there has been an urban myth that if you watch closely, you can see a serial killer in the film The Exorcist. Well, this is one urban legend that turns out to be at least partly true! Paul Bateson does briefly appear in the hospital scene of The Exorcist and he was convicted of a gruesome murder which did help to inspire another film, Cruising. But was he a serial killer who hunted gay men in leather bars?
