The traditions of our fathers (culture, attitude, teachings, ways of living, understanding) can affect us positively or negatively.    Whenever light and truth is revealed it is not long before people "dwindle" in unbelief.  The Book of Mormon  touches on this many times.   It is a truth that happens because of: 1 iniquity and 2 incorrect traditions of our fathers.
