In 1968, Richard Nixon was elected as the first conservative President since 1932. It was said because of the white backlash and Southern strategy. Nixon's voters didn't think of themselves as claimed today... as a strategy, they proudly thought of themselves as Orthigonians. and they would not allow themselves to be the scapegoat to pay the prices of elites idea of civil rights.
