We @TheCottage explore how the ancient people of the Bible to whom God was speaking understood the Scriptures to show us how God was speaking to them yet communicating to them revelation for all of us even today even if in their context.
In this session, we continue Genesis 20 and where Abraham repeats the game he played with Sarah on Pharaoh back in Genesis 12 this time with King Abimelech and note similarity with New Testament texts and how as much as Abraham opens the wombs of the women in that kingdom and God will open Sarah's in the next chapter, Paul desires for us to reproduce as Christians in a fallen world and he labors to that end in love to see Christ formed in the believers under his care.
We are laying the foundation to discovering the riches hidden in the ancient Scriptures of God's people to learn God's way of doing and being in our daily lives. Stay tuned for our future episodes as we continue to discover more mysteries of the Bible in the sessions that follow.
