This week I went to the post office to mail Christmas gifts to people I LOVE and I was told to leave the package in a mountain of packages that had been pre-postmarked. It was like leaving hundreds of dollars on the floor in a strange place and hoping that nobody else would pick them up and enjoy them for themselves. I couldn't help but wonder if the packages would actually get to where I sent them. Then I started thinking about the adventures that each of these packages had in front of them. Where did they come from? Who are the people that sent them? How many stories went into the ideas for these gifts? How were the shipper and receiver connected? Why is this loved one so far away from the sender? 

 

The list of questions goes on and on and on. 

 

It's so difficult to start or continue on a personal development journey because you have no idea where you're going or how long it will take you to get there. You ask yourself a number of similar questions. Will I like who I become? Will I feel distant from my family and friends? Will I be accepted and encouraged to make healthy changes?
