198. Choosing to be present

In this episode we learn ways that we can choose to set aside the stories that our brain offers with situations and things taking place outside of us. Whether it’s other peoples behavior or other things happening around us, we can choose to be present and turn inward and pay attention to our own thoughts creating the feelings or emotions we feel. As we pay better attention with our own thoughts and feelings we can then feel what’s happening in our body and stop trying to numb or buffer our emotions through stimulants like food, technology or shopping.
