198. Serving a full-time MISSION in California with Emory Miller
Emory Miller is the oldest child in her family. She grew up in a small town in Oregon with family close by and close relationships with them. Having the missionaries come over to her home placed in her mind the idea of serving a mission. After graduating from high school, she moved to Utah to be on her own and prepare to go to BYU-Hawaii. At that time, she made a decision to go on a mission. She returned from Utah to fill out and submit her mission papers and prepare to leave on an 18 month mission. Before her call arrived she decided to spend a semester at BYU-Hawaii. While in Hawaii, she received her call to Newport Beach California. Over the next 5 months, Emory's testimony grew in Hawaii and she anxiously awaited the time to start the MTC at home in May 2020. Join me today, as Emory talks about her mission preparation and experiences on her mission. She loved the people of California and her capacity to love and serve others grew exponentially.
