If you’re trying to write a book, or if you’re just getting started writing, it might be painful. You might feel mentally sore after doing it. It’s normal. Writing is always hard in the beginning—it’s like working out. Recently I started a new home full-body workout. The first few times I completed it, my body was obliterated. I barely could move the days after. But I forced myself to do it over and over again. And now I’ve been doing it every day and the pain diminishes every time. The same is true of writing. The more you write, the easier it gets.
