This sermon was preached the day before "Independence Day" in 1993. The freedoms experienced in living in the USA, of being a US citizen, are guaranteed by law - not just any law but the Constitution of the United States with it's several amendments. Those freedoms, as was the document itself, were predicated on the Law of God by believing founders of the United States - God fearing men. They would not now recognise the ideology of the country they founded - a country of self reliance now a country of hand outs and a nanny state - as of course if most of the western world.
