At 8:30 in the morning I was served with an Order restraining anyone but Anne from having anything to do with the operations of our business. It was time stamped with Friday’s date at 3:00 pm, which was well after we had already completed the transfer.
I did not violate the Injunction and Anne used it as an opportunity to ransack the office. It was Labor Day weekend and the Courthouse and law firms were closed until Tuesday (9/2/97). I prepared a Motion seeking relief from the Injunction and presented copies of the Power of Attorney and the “master” Trust Agreement.
Today at noon all of the volunteers (over 100) and all of the friends and family, came to pick up and post Missing flyers about Don. I have distributed and posted about 500 my self in the past few days. Jim Moore asked me if I thought it would be a good idea to have this huge, human comb make a sweep through the area where Don was last seen and I did. I can’t believe I didn’t think of this earlier, especially given the fact that I was so annoyed that the Pasco police only thought it worth the time of one deputy and a couple of hours. Why didn’t we use dogs?
The volunteers returned with a black shirt, turned inside out, a glove, covered in oil, just like the ones we have cases of, a brush, a 1996 license plate cut in half and a faded receipt from an Auto Salvage yard. The most frightening of their evidence is what looks to be blood splattered on the pavement between the planes that were hangared next to (2 poles down) where Don’s van was parked.
They called Dewey Gallop over to look at it and he said it doesn’t look like anything typical of aviation fluids. A Pasco cop was arresting a man for DUI and came over to ask the volunteers to look after the man’s dog and they asked him to look at the possible blood stain, but he said he was busy with the DUI and that the Sheriff’s Dept. would have to send someone else. No one else ever came so I am faxing the info to the Tampa Detectives Lingo and Fernandez. The news came out to the search site and I have heard that it is getting at least state wide attention and that may help. National broadcast would help more I think.
Having had time to research the files I have made a frightening discovery: Anne has transferred $508,969.71 of our money into her name and $435,273.24 of it has been just in the last year while Don has been spending a lot of time in Costa Rica and I have been busy trying to get the sanctuary paying for itself. The day Don disappeared was the date of the last transfer that I have found and that was for $3431.31 for a tax certificate. If Don wasn’t around, then who okayed this?
Note to police: I have the bag of items the volunteers found for you and will bring them to you, or you may pick them up. If I’m not here, they are on my desk, in a bag tied shut to prevent contamination. Thank you for your time in finding my husband. I know that there are probably a lot of more pressing issues that you have to deal with, but he is so important to me.

I've been writing my story since I was able to write, but when the media goes to share it, they only choose the parts that fit their idea of what will generate views. If I'm going to share my story, it should be the whole story. The titles are the dates things happened. If you have any interest in who I really am please start at the beginning of this playlist: http://savethecats.org/ I know there will be people who take things out of context and try to use them to validate their own misconception, but you have access to the whole story. My hope is that others will recognize themselves in my words and have the strength to do what is right for themselves and our shared planet.
