Most pharmacists are surrounded by other pharmacists during their education - but what about the working world?
In this new miniseries, we explore being the ONLY pharmacist, particularly in a nontraditional pharmacy setting.
Our first guest and N of one pharmacist is Dr. Jason Kwan.
Jason Kwan has a dual bachelor’s degree in finance and molecular biosciences/biotechnology. He earned my PharmD at the University of Arizona. Throughout undergraduate and graduate school, Jason pursued entrepreneurship training and created his own startup, LinkX. He also completed a managed care residency at Aetna Medicaid, gaining full competency in prior authorizations, formulary management, clinical quality, clinical outreach programs, and shadowing the pharmacy directors and executive director. He proposed a blockchain project on medication adherence and our team was runner up in the company-wide competition for innovative ideas.
Jason's current role is as the population health pharmacist at Arizona Care Network. He analyzes the population data and develops clinical programs centered around specific disease states.
