In THE FLORIDA PROJECT, director Sean Baker tells the stories of the 'hidden homeless' along Florida's 192 corridor. While the film and its characters are entirely fictional, the homeless in that area of Florida are real. Mary Downey is the founder of the Community Hope Center, an organization that works with the residents in that area and actually influenced the development of THE FLORIDA PROJECT as well. This week, Steve was fortunate to speak with Mary about the realities for her residents, hope for the homeless and how we can help.
