The First Impact Accelerator for radiation risk communication to improve benefit-risk dialogue in paediatric imaging kicks off on Monday 7 March 2022.
We are pleased to inform you that 26 alumni have been selected to participate in the first Impact Accelerator Launchpad for radiation communication from March 7-April 1, 2022.
The Accelerator is not a course. The focus is on the actions you will take in your work, not on formal learning. It will require active participation from March 7-April 1, 2022.

*** Special session to honor Eriko Maeda ***
We are deeply shocked and sad to learn that Eriko Maeda, a Radiologist from University of Tokyo, Japan, and one of our peers from the WHO Scholar Level 1 course on radiation risk communication to improve benefit-risk dialogue in paediatric imaging course in May 2021, passed away recently.
To honor Eriko, we invite you to join us for a 15-minute special session ahead of our first Assembly for the Impact Accelerator for radiation risk communication on Tuesday 8 March.
Eriko was a champion for improving radiation risk-benefit communication where she worked.
She was one of the 64 Scholars who successfully completed the WHO Scholar Level 1 course on radiation risk-benefit communication in May 2021.
She was committed and was actively taking actions to improve radiation risk-benefit communication in her community. She even applied to join the Impact Accelerator Launchpad in 2022.
If you have interacted in any way with Eriko, we hope that this will offer you an opportunity to share your thoughts and express your condolences to Eriko's close colleagues and family members.
