The second episode of Snack On That, the official podcast for the Feed The Hungry UK charity.
Gavin Kibble, Chris Edwards, and Gwyn Williams talk about how they don't want to feed hungry people anymore. Feed The Hungry charity started out providing disaster relief in1987. Since then, over £300 million in food and supplies have been delivered to hungry, hurting people in 92 nations around the globe.
We currently feed over 500k children every day, and we want that to stop.
The better solution is rather than support being brought in, communities should be able to support themselves. We want to develop initiatives to do exactly that.
Gwyn has been in Zimbabwe, looking at how we can support the farmers to teach them how to best grow crops to support themselves and their community in a challenging environment.
Gavin also shares his fascination with the humble artichoke.
