This week, we start off strong with our first guest Aaron Turner of SUMAC . It seems odd to only mention SUMAC, his latest band, because Aaron has been a stalwart in producing forward-thinking media through his numerous musical projects as well as his visual art. You’re undoubtedly familiar with his other bands Isis, Old Man Gloom and his various collaborations with Justin Broderick, Twilight, Lustmord and Chelsea Wolfe. He is also the main man at Hydrahead Records, whose catalog helped define progressive heavy music.

Our chat was recorded prior to the Caleb Scofield Benefit that happened in Los Angeles during this past October. We talked about the possibility of further Isis performances, parenthood and the over-abundance of fan-provided coffee.
