The Annoying And The Apathetic

#2: Discipline in Schools and the Bizarre Wonders of Nature

Listen Later

In our latest episode of the podcast, we delved into the controversial topic of disciplining and punishment of students in schools. We shared our personal experiences and stories of teachers confiscating toys and playthings, and how this form of punishment may not always be the best approach. We also discussed our disagreements with most school systems' zero-tolerance bullying programs, and why they may not be effective in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
But we didn't just stop at the topic of education. We also explored the fascinating world of nature, discussing the oddities of household insect pests and the ethical issues surrounding the captivity of orcas. We marveled at the bizarre and unique features of platypuses, from their duck-like bills to their ability to lay eggs, and I informed John of the existence of the terrifying army ants.
Tune in to this episode to gain a new perspective on disciplining and punishment in schools, as well as to learn more about the fascinating and sometimes bizarre world of nature.
