When I was thinking about who I wanted to kick off The Well Report with, it was glaringly clear to me that I'd ask Percell to be my first guest.
He's a Nike Trainer, the Founder of Fit For Us (a media agency), The Care Community, my personal trainer, and my friend ... and has a wealth of knowledge and passion for exercise and the advancement of Black and Brown people within wellness. I genuinely couldn't ask for a better perspective to share with you all.
His mother's passion for wellness and his father's dedication to community service laid the foundation for his coaching journey. A huge takeaway from my conversation with Percell was his commitment to accessibility in wellness.
As a middle school girls basketball coach, Percell faced the way his coaching perspective and experience was informed by patriarchy. And ever since, he's been moving with inclusivity in mind. His agency, Fit For Us, was founded to create community and opportunity for Black and Brown people in the wellness space.
Tune in to hear:
- How Percell became a Nike trainer
- Percell's biggest running tips
- All about Fit For Us and it's radical cousin, The Care Community
- Tangible tips to start your fitness journey
