King Jehoiakim rules in the southern kingdom of Judah for 11 years. He started paying tributes to Babylon starting in year 8, but then rebelled 3 years later. His son, Jehoiachin, came to the throne, but like his father was a bad king. King Jehoiachin ruled for only 3 months. Then, the King of Babylon came back and installed Jehoiachin's uncle, Mattaniah, as the new king of Judah; and changed his name to Zedekiah. He too only reigned for 11 years, and then he decided to rebel against Babylon as well. This is approximately now 586 B.C.
