There must be no other female saint whose life was as dramatic as St Agnes of Bohemia! Agnes felt called to religious life. She grew as a model of Christian virtue and was well-known for obedience, prayer, personal holiness and genuine humility. She not only cooked for lepers and paupers, but also mended clothes for them. Her love for her co-sisters, and her charitable acts of mercy towards the poor and the abandoned were well-regarded. Her feast day is 2nd March.
