Ryan Maybee founded the speakeasy-style bar Manifesto in Kansas City in 2009, catalyzing the city’s cocktail scene. By accident, he discovered that the building he was operating in used to be home to a whiskey distillery. He resurrected the brand, J. Rieger & Co. in 2014.
