This weekend is week two of our Fall Campaign called MISSION CRITICAL. We have unveiled our new mission statement that reflects where God is leading MBC in this season of ministry. The new statement has three steps and this week we will look at the first step which is that we are a Church on Mission. The obvious first question is, if we are on a mission, what is the mission? In order to discover the mission we look to a very famous passage of scripture found in the new testament.

Matthew chapter 28 recounts the truth that following Jesus' death and burial he did not remain dead. The power of God was revealed in Jesus in perhaps the most impactful way it could have been demonstrated. The power to overcome death is something beyond our capacity to even hope for. Each time we deal with the separation, death makes us wonder why we must go through this pain. It doesn't seem right. Of course the reason is that we were not created to go through this pain of separation. Death came through the curse of sin brought by the fall of Adam and Eve.

This weekend we focus on the power that has returned to Jesus following the completion of His mission to pay for sin. With the power comes a commissioning to a mission that involves raising the dead. Join us as we learn about the mission Jesus calls His followers to be a part of. The mission to bring dead souls back to life.
