This week the right-wing Ford government of Ontario passed draconian legislation to ban CUPE members from striking, and impose a one-sided contract on them, using the controversial notwithstanding clause to override constitutional protections. I’ll talk about what led to this, what the union was & is demanding & why, the response from the opposition NDP, and what the federal government could do about it
