In our section of Peter's harsh speech toward false teachers, we have to ask: Why does Peter speak this way? One factor is that Peter is walking by faith, not by sight: He is interpreting life through the grid of Scripture. What Peter is doing is what is expected of us as well. How do we live like this? How can we work at identifying false teachers? And what should our lives look like when we are living this way?
