2 Peter 1:19-21 is the text for this sermon entitled, "Pay Attention to the Prophetic Message." 

Peter affirms the reliability of the Bible's holy message. It is reliable as to revelation, transmission of the text, translation of the text, and in that we can rest assured that the Bible includes all we need to prepare for eternity. We must pay full attention to the Word, focus on it and take it seriously. He vigorously asserts that no true prophet or teacher from God speaks from a personal interpretation or explanation from a human viewpoint. God was and is the source and initiative for the truth. The Bible:
1. Is completely reliable
2. Enlightens our hearts
3. Has its source in God
4. Is the Word from God
